Equipment Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Equipment Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of mechanical equipment. The ideal candidate has strong troubleshooting skills, hands-on experience working with industrial, construction, or agricultural machinery, and the ability to perform preventative maintenance with minimal supervision. Bonus points for candidates with agricultural machinery or farm equipment experience.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and structural issues on various equipment.
• Perform repairs on engines, transmissions, drive systems, hydraulic systems, and electrical components.
• Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
• Inspect equipment condition and recommend necessary repairs or replacement parts.
• Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and parts documentation.
• Safely operate hand tools, diagnostic equipment, welders, cutting torches, and shop machinery.
• Troubleshoot and repair agriculture-specific machines (tractors, combines, balers, irrigation equipment, etc.) — preferred but not required.
• Ensure equipment meets safety requirements and manufacturer standards.
• Collaborate with operations teams, drivers, and supervisors to prioritize repairs.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
